Using Eventca

Eventca provides lightweight event pages, guest registration, QR passes, check-in tools, attendance records, CSV exports, and simple event update emails. By using Eventca, you agree to use it lawfully and responsibly.

Host Responsibilities

Hosts are responsible for the events they create, the accuracy of event details, host-created registration questions, waiver or agreement wording, the content of messages they send, and how they use registration and attendance information. Hosts must send event and future-event emails responsibly, choose the correct audience, and respect unsubscribe choices.

Guest Responsibilities

Guests should provide accurate registration information, answer host-created registration questions truthfully, and should not share pass links unless they intend someone else to access that pass. A pass link may allow someone to view the pass, edit allowed registration details before check-in, or check in the registration connected to that pass.

Acceptable Use

Do not use Eventca for unlawful, abusive, misleading, harmful, spammy, or privacy-invasive activity. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, access another host's event dashboard, or misuse guest information.

Eventca Is Not the Event Host

Eventca provides software. Eventca does not organize, supervise, endorse, guarantee, or manage events created by hosts. Admission decisions, event changes, refunds outside Eventca, and questions about a specific event should go to that event's host.

Availability and Changes

Eventca may change, pause, or discontinue parts of the service. Eventca is provided as available, and access may be limited for maintenance, security, abuse prevention, or operational reasons.

Data and Exports

Hosts may export registration records, custom question answers, subscriber records, and attendance records for their events. Hosts are responsible for protecting exported data and using it according to applicable rules and their own commitments to guests.

Email Updates

Eventca lets hosts send updates to event audiences and to people who chose to receive emails about future events from that host. Guests can unsubscribe from host update emails, but Eventca may still keep event records needed for registration, check-in, attendance, security, or legal reasons.

Host-Created Questions and Waivers

Eventca lets hosts add simple registration questions, including checkbox agreements. Eventca stores submitted answers with the registration, but Eventca does not review host-created wording and does not provide legal advice. Hosts are responsible for deciding whether their waiver, consent, or agreement wording is appropriate for their event.

No Payments or Ticketing

The MVP version of Eventca does not process payments, sell tickets, manage seating, or provide financial settlement. Any event costs or admission decisions are handled outside Eventca by the host.

External Links

Event pages may include links to external sites, such as map links or host-provided links. Eventca is not responsible for external sites or services.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Eventca is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for issues caused by host-created events, inaccurate event details, unavailable passes, network problems, or third-party services.

Contact

For questions about an event, contact the event host. For questions about these terms, contact the Eventca operator who gave you access to the service.
